What a year it’s been! Despite the challenges we’ve all had to face - at Traceworks, we are grateful and proud to have achieved some wonderful things, none of which would be possible without the creative passion, hard work and support of our team, partners, participants, audiences & funders.
Our highlights include:
⭐️ continuation of ONLINE DANCE CLASSES for adults, a virtual community for those across the country who began learning to dance in lockdown
⭐️ re-opening of CHILDREN’S DANCE CLASSES in CANADA WATER after a year of online sessions, as well as the launch of a TEENS DANCE CLASS in KINGSTON
⭐️ our first successful bid for public funding by The National Lottery through Arts Council England enabling the creation & premiere tour of JACK DEFROST | POP UP SHOW
⭐️ embedding the company within our local communities of Lewisham & Greenwich, we piloted a new touring method, taking 50 shows of JACK DEFROST to over 1000 local people at community venues, doorsteps & outdoor spaces
⭐️ additional support from organisations including the Mayor of London, Battersea Arts Centre, Found in Music, Tramshed & Chippenham Borough Lands Charity to continue sharing JACK DEFROST with over 1,500 members of the wider public from September to December
A massive thank you goes out to everyone who has been a part of the Traceworks journey so far, here’s to 2022 and more professional dance in the community 🥂
Wishing you a healthy & happy new year!
Julian & James
